From 13 to 23 November 2024, Le Mouffetard, France’s National Marionette Theater in Paris, is exhibiting a panorama of pastels by Jean Malaurie to coincide with the show ‘Racontars arctiques, chroniques rocambolesques de la banquise’ (‘Arctic tales – fantastic chronicles from the ice pack’), adapted from the writings of Danish author Jørn Riel (1931-2023) by the Quebec collective La Ruée vers l'or.

The Malaurie Institute of Arctic Research Monaco-UVSQ (MIARC) is organising an international and interdisciplinary conference “The mineral Arctic: imagination, communication and practices” in association with UArctic Thematic Network Arctic Cultures and History (ARCH) and UArctic Regional Centre for Continental Europe at UVSQ in Versailles on 8-10 Octobre 2025.

It was opened on the occasion of the inauguration of the refurbished Panhard Pavillon on UVSQ’s science campus in Versailles by Gérard Larcher, President of the French Senate, on September 16, 2024.
